Sunday Social

I'm linking up today with the 'Sunday Social'
Sunday Social

This weeks questions
1. What is the name of your blog?
Chores and Chandeliers
I love the juxtaposition of Chores and Chandeliers.
I think it fits me well, for instance…..
I have chickens but the coop has pillars, shutters, and a wreath
My smelly horse barn has a red chandelier
I LOVE Jewelry and it is displayed on an old screen door.
I have old beat up wood floors, but I painted them with a chevron stripe!

2. What do you love most about blogging?
The creative outlet AND the relationships I've made

3. Why did you start blogging?
To share my projects.
I also had many people asking me too.

4. What is something you'd want to tell someone just starting out in the blog world?
Have fun and don't stress about it!
You're the boss of your blog.
Blog about what you enjoy.
If you don't have time to blog THAT IS FINE!!!!

5. Biggest blogging learning experience you've had?
Hmmmm....I've only had one negative experience.
Another blogger shared my chicken coop and other people REALLY TORE ME APART,
saying how I was shallow and wasteful to have such a cute chicken coop.
I wanted to defend myself and tell  that is was all recycled materials and was NOT AN EXPENSIVE project!
BUT I quickly learned they didn't want to hear it,  they just wanted to tear me down.
So I had to learn that to let their options go.
People can be harsh and say really mean things when they can hide behind a computer screen!

6. What are three blogs you love?

3 comments:

  1. Okay, the chicken coop is amazing so how can they possibly tear it apart? When we built our chicken coop this spring we used mostly stuff around the house so it's isn't spectacular but the ones I found on pinterest were pretty amazing.

Have you ever heard of Buck Howdy? He has this song called "Chickens" (unfortunately, it isn't on youtube :( ) and I sing it to my chickens regularly.

So nice to "meet" you via this Sunday Social link up!

  3. I'm so sorry to hear that people would tear you down for such a darling coop! One thing I've learned, there will always be haters, but I will never be one! Keep on being awesome!!
