An “everyday
cowgirl” can come from anywhere.
She can live
down a dusty dirt road or on a busy city street.
An “everyday
cowgirl” is not determined by your location.
“you can
take the girl out of the country, but you can’t take the country out of the girl”
This week’s
everyday cowgirl is Katlyn Rumbold.
She sent me
an email and it started out saying “Howdy”.
I knew right
away I was going to like her! :)
(Katlyn
and one her family's show heifers)
Katlyn hails
from a small town in the Midwest
where she
was raised on a farm and learned
the value of
hard work and a strong faith at a very young age.
***Faith***
I was so
glad she mentioned Faith in her message to me.
Faith is a
huge part of an “everyday cowgirl”!!!
Katlyn no
longer lives on her family’s farm
but she
still holds the values and lessons learned there.
During the
week, she can be found in the city advocating for agriculture.
She writes
agricultural content ranging from various crop diseases
to utilizing
social media on the farm.
(This picture
is taken the day Katlyn moved to the city)
When not in
the office, she can be found at cattle shows, tractor pulls,
county
fairs, trail rides, and even western stores shopping for new boots and bling.
(now if that
doesn’t scream cowgirl I don’t know what does)
(Katlyn and her siblings in the pasture amongst the cattle)
She is such a well rounded young women.
She is such a well rounded young women.
Her favorite
song is “Gun powder and lead” by Miranda Lambert.
BUT, going to
a Lady Gaga concert is on her bucket list.
I love this about her.
I love this about her.
Katlyn is
the perfect example of an everyday cowgirl for this very reason.
She has
traditional values but had a modern sense of style!
A perfect mix, which truly makes an "everyday cowgirl".
No matter how busy Katlyn’s schedule is she always makes time
to watch the
Bachelor/Bachelorette.
She has been a big fan since the beginning!
“Fan” may
even be an understatement…She may be a bit obsessed! :)
She also
finds times to keep an amazing blog called Midwest Farm Girl.
You really
should check it out!
You
can follow her many adventures of being a farm girl advocating in the big
city.
As much as
she loves wearing her high heels and being a fancy city girl,
her heart is
in the country (in a pair of boots) and that is where she truly belongs.
That saying
is so true
“you can take
the girl out of the country, but you can’t take the country out of the girl.”
Thank you
Katlyn for being an “everyday cowgirl”!
Your strong
faith, down home attitude, dedication, determination, ag knowledge
all combined
with your well rounded personality
makes you a
great example of an “everyday cowgirl”.

everyday cowgirl?
